I like this story. I don't love it, but I like it. Some of the comedy really isn't funny and borders slapstick, which isn't my kind of humour personally. I thought some of the acting was brilliant, especially that of Barbara and the Doctor, but some of the others weren't so great. Some of the sets were brilliant but others were very obviously a studio which is a shame because a story like this needs something grander. I gave it a three.

I was stuck between a three and a four, but I decided to give it a four in the end. It was weird seeing the Doctor, or at least this one, doing a bit of comedy because he had always seemed so straight laced, but it was a nice change I guess. The story was good but there wasn't as much adventure as I thought there might be. It seemed more like we were catching up with them on holiday, which I suppose we were, but it was just a lot more leisurely in pace than I expected. Still enjoyable though

Forgot to post here before, but I gave it a 4. A really fun story, with some great performances and a very enjoyable storyline. I loved the way that the Doctor/Vicki kept almost running into Ian/Barbara but just missed each other every time, and it was good to see both Ian and Barbara get such strong subplots of their own. And Derek Francis was great as Nero. Okay so he was the wrong age, but if we ignore historical accuracy and just watch his performance he plays him brilliantly.
