I have opened this poll and thread because we are collecting data in order to rank stories. Please could you take a minute and rate this story? Smiley

You do not need to give a reason for your vote, though obviously feel free to do so as it is a good way of initiating discussions Smiley

More garbage from Gatiss.
I really think Unquiet Dead was a fluke, everything else from him is tripe.

Some parts of this were dead creepy, but the story all felt a bit rushed and I thought Tennant was really annoying throughout. I went with a 2

I gave this one a four. Its not a totally amazing episode but I like the story and the family stuff in particular. I also really like the 50's setting and I thought Maureen Lipman was brilliant.

This one gets a three. I don't ever go out of my way for it, but I don't hate it either

I can only assume RTD owed Gatiss a debt because I can't think of any other reason why he would let this story get made. I get that he loves the show but he isnt a particularly good writer or actor and with the exception of The Unquiet dead, everytime he has been let near DW it has been a total disaster.

3. Not terrible, not great. I agree with Tardis-Console about Tennant being annoying in this one, and Billie Piper was no better, but I liked the idea behind the story, and the 50s setting worked really well.
The best thing for me about this episode for me was the supporting cast. Anything with Ron Cook, Maureen Lipman and Margaret John in it can't be all bad. And, while I'm not familiar with Jamie Foreman in anything else other than this episode, he was absolutely brilliant as Eddie Connolly.

Three. The Wire wasn't so much as terrible as disappointing. The Doctor and Rose are just so lovey-dovey it shits me to tears. On the other hand it's interesting to watch the family dynamic and the fact that the boy is played by the same person who does Davros' childhood voice in the radio drama 'I, Davros' so I am by no means unbiased.
