I have opened this poll and thread because we are collecting data in order to rank stories. Please could you take a minute and rate this story? Smiley

You do not need to give a reason for your vote, though obviously feel free to do so as it is a good way of initiating discussions Smiley

Ahhh, remember the "Scooti for the next companion" cries after this?
Awesome two parter - creepiest Nu Who so far IMO.

That voice was horrible wasn't it. I wasn't so keen the first time I saw this but I love it now!

The voice creeped me right out, along with the scary Ood synchronised chants!
Not to mention 10 & rose talking about getting a mortgage. Shudder.

2 from me. Having Satan, or whatever devil it was meant to be, in the show sort of blurred the religious lines that the show had steered away from and I wasn't keen on that and the questions it raised. Some of the crew stuff was really good and I particularly like the Captain, whose name escapes me. Wasn't keen on the Ood here, but then I always find them hit and miss and the guy playing the possessed guy was a bit hammy too I thought. Great scenes though between the Doctor and the Captain as he was abseiling down the shaft

A gave this one a four out of five. Tennant wasn't being too annoying and I liked all the stuff with the ood. Like Aneurin, I wasn't keen on the religious subtext but I enjoyed the rest of it. Some parts, expecially the voice as TFD pointed out, were terrifying, and that is always good Smiley

This was a four, but I'd give it a 4.5. The tone of it mystified me. I didn't care for the whole horror-scariness with the Ood swarm, but all the scenes with the cavern I loved. Plus that scene with Toby standing in the vacuum is beautiful. I think it's great that this episode was so unique in tone.
