When the villainous Captain John Hart returns to abduct Captain Jack Harkness whilst unleashing a wave of destruction and terror upon an unsuspecting Cardiff, it's up to Gwen, Ianto, Owen and Tosh to save the day. Meanwhile, Captain Jack Harkness is forced to face some demons from his past.

What a brilliant episode. From beginning to end this story was perfect and it was my favourite type of Torchwood too. I like what we have now, but loved the original premise. The ending was brilliant and so sad (even if the video thing was a ripoff from Angel). Full marks

I went with a four. The only reason I didn't give it full marks is because it took ages to get into its stride. The last 20 minutes though are excellent

I watched this again the other day for the first time in ages. I forgot just how good it was and how much I miss the whole team dynamic. I think Torchwood is unlikely to come back for another series, but if it did I would want it to be more like this.
