One thing I forgot to comment on before was the beginning.  What was that about?  They had a cliffhanger from the story before, and then totally ignored it.  We didn't see the effects of the TARDIS falling off the ledge, we didn't see them getting out of it, and it had nothing whatsoever to do with the story.  The only reference to the situation at all was a rather clumsy one that sounded like it was stuck in at the last minute.  It's got to be one of the most pointless cliffhangers ever.

I can't believe this wasn't mentioned already. You are exactly right, Nyki. It was very poorly resolved, if you could even call it a resolution at all. There was a quick passing mention about it not being the right way up and the Doctor saying it didn't matter and that was that. I understand the excitement of adding the cliffhanger at the end of the last story, but to just not do anything with it in this one is just silly

I was wondering what that was about. I havent seen the story before so I had no idea why the TARDIS was perched there, but then nothing was explained

It was the cliffhanger from the end of The Rescue.  I can only assume that it was meant to be more significant, but they cut that aspect out.  In those days, they made each episode during the week before it was shot, so they didn't have the option of going back and correcting it.
