For this weeks story we turn for the first time to the Third Doctor for Fronier In Space.

The Doctor and Jo are caught up in the escalating tension between planets Earth and Draconia, and discover that somebody is secretly working to provoke the two sides into all-out war.

Frontier in Space was the third story in season ten of Doctor Who and it saw the introduction of the Draconians. It was loosely connected with the following serial, Planet of the Daleks. It is notable as the final appearance of Roger Delgado in Doctor Who before his death

The next story will be posted on Saturday 6th August

I'm going to give this a four. Its a solid story with some great acting and good sets. The plot is well written and the Master is brilliant. I like the Draconians a lot too. It's not perfect, but it's nearly there.

This gets full marks from me. It was the first classic story I ever saw and I was hooked from start to finish. My gran got me the box set of this and Planet of the Daleks when I told her I had started watching Doctor Who and it wouldn't surprise me if she still thought Jon Pertwee was the Doctor Grin

My expectations for the classics weren't high, so that could be a factor in why I enjoyed it so much, because for it's time, this looked brilliant and while it isn't without it's flaws, it is still perhaps my favourite, or at least one of my favourite, classic stories.

I gave it five, as I knew I would.  A great story about political intrigue that still has its share of action, and pulling off a triple twist (Ogrons, Master, Daleks) so successfully is quite a feat.

This was also a finalist in the Third Doctor story tournament, not to be scoffed at.

This is a very good story and I really quite enjoyed this. The only small observation I have is that it fails in terms of actual finishing of the story. Essentially this is just a set up for Planet of the Daleks and I really think this scenario could have been developed. I like the premise and i wish they'd explored it a little more.

A 3 from me - but only because there isn't a 3.5.

I went with a four. I think it is a great story and the Master is particularly great throughout, but as VA said, essentially it is just a setup for POTD. Also, the ending doesn't really make sense after what had been going on for the first 5 episodes.

I went with a four. I really like this story and I always enjoy rewatching it, but as far as story goes there isn't a whole lot of it and the Doctor spends just a tad too much time locked up. The Doctor tells the pilots the truth, they don't believe him and lock him up. The Doctor tells the Government the truth, they don't believe him and lock him up. The Doctor tells the Draconians the truth, they don't believe him and tie him up. The Doctor tells the Government the truth again, they still don't believe him and lock him up again. The Doctor tells the Moon prison the truth, they don't believe him and keep him locked him up. The Doctor tells the Master that he knows the truth, he already knows and locks him up. The Doctor tells the Draconian leader the truth, then finally he gets let go. All it needed was speeding up and the Benny Hill music in the background (which now I am thinking about it is actually quite funny. I should have gone with a 5 after all Grin)
