A new game that requires both knowledge of the show and a bit of lateral thinking.  The object is to guess what specific link there is between two (or more) elements from Doctor Who - they can be characters, stories or whatever.  For instance, if I asked the connection between The Chase and The Shakespeare Code, it would be that both stories portray Shakespeare and Queen Elizabeth.  Usual rules - you guess right, you set the next one.

OK, what's the connection between the classic series 12 and the NuWho series 3?

Is it that all the stories come directly after the other? It's the only thing I can think of and I am not sure it even applies to series 3

Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the wind stands fair and The Doctor comes to call, everybody lives.

That would have been my initial thought too because everything in series 12 sort of links one after the other, and the same could be said of series 3, or at least a lot of the stories in series 3

No, it's not that (there are gaps in series 3)  A clue - it's a circumstance that might lead to slight confusion in the TARDIS.

Is it to do with the Doctor losing the TARDIS?

No.  I thought this was a bit more obvious than it seems to be.  Last clue - think about the companions.

OK, no-one seems to have got this - I didn't think it was too difficult.  The answer is that they're the two series where the Doctor's travelling with a doctor (Harry Sullivan, Martha Jones).

OK, let's try this one.  What's the connection between The Talons of Weng Chiang & The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances? (apart from obvious things, like they're both set in London)

Damn that was so obvious! Talk about not seeing the wood for the trees.

I think I know this one. Is it that Jack and Magnus are both from the 51st century? (Going deeper with that one, he feared that the Time Agents were after him, whilst Jack is/was a Time Agent, thus connecting them further)

Yes, it was specifically the time-agents from the 51st century, which is included in your answer Cool

Your turn.

Ok, I don't know how hard or easy this should be, so I will go with something in between.

What is the connection between Inferno and The Lodger?

Is it that they both have a TARDIS console that's not in a TARDIS?

I think I've actually mentioned this one somewhere in the past.  What's the connection between The Smugglers and Curse of the Black Pearl? (apart from the general one of both featuring pirates)

Is it that they both feature the Avery character?

I've never seen The Smugglers so this is a complete guess

More or less.  The pirate captain in The Smugglers (Pike) is described as "one of Avery's boys" or some such phrase.

Your go.
