Matt has said several times that this is his favourite classic story and it is easy to see why. I think it also might have a bearing on his portrayal of the Doctor, because at times the similarities between him and PT playing the role are some of the strongest between any of the Doctors. I think that's a good thing though. He might not often be voted the best, but PT is my favourite classic Doctor and Matt is my favourite new Doctor and I love how similar they are at times. Don't get me wrong, I think Matt is original in his own rights and doesn't need to copy any past performances, but there is no denying the hints of Troughton in his performance and I think his performances are all the better for it.

Incidentally, it will never happen now but how awesome would a Two Doctors story between those pair have been?!?!

I think at times with Matt you can see aspects of all the Doctors in his performance, but I think PT comes through strongest and most often. He is one of the few actors in the role who have managed to both make it his own, and also make it believable that he was also all those other people/face/personalities etc, rather than just someone taking over the role and saying they are the same person.

As for Matt and Patrick doing a two Doctor story, I honestly think it would be the best story of DW ever. They would be an absolute perfect match. We need some sort of CGI magic to make it happen

I do think they would make a great pairing actually but something like that, other than animated form, is never really likely to happen. Its a shame though because I think they would be brilliant together

Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the wind stands fair and The Doctor comes to call, everybody lives.
