Oooohhhh shocker! I thought the Daleks would have won it by far, altho, the later seasons do seem to have used the Daleks too much, and made them a bit cartoonified (ie Dalek Rangers of Season 5)

The Master is a worthy winner.  I love how he played out at the end.

If these are going to be my last words then you're going to listen. I met the Emperor. And I took the time vortex and poured it into his head and turned it into dust.

Yes! Finally one I voted for gets the win! A character so great that even briefly being played by Eric Roberts couldn't finish him off!

And even all these years later, nothing personifies 'evil' for me quite like the sound of Anthony Ainley chuckling...

I very nearly went with a Simm picture only for this thread, but I didnt think it was fair. Though I suspect a lot of his votes were from newbies who only know of him

Glad you didn't do that. As good as Simm is, my vote was mostly won my messrs Delgado and Ainley. Especially Ainley since he was the one I grew up with.

of course! Love the Master! Though I do admit that I have never gotten around to the original series, so Simm's Master is all I know.

Me too - but Simm was great!  Some day I will get around to watching the classics.

To be honest I expected this to be a closer call. I knew the Master was popular, but he won by an enormous margin

Great to see the Daleks on the list. They really should have taken the top spot though. I dont like the Master. His popularity always amazes me

Here's how I stand.

The Master: My fave villain.
The Cybermen: Second fave, ones that scare me the most.
Daleks: Not at all scared of them but know their history and think they're deserving of their place.

#Doctor: Amy was frightened. I was frightened. But we survived, you know, and the relief of it... And so she kissed me. #Rory: And you kissed her back. #Doctor: No, I kissed her mouth. #Rory: Funny.

#Companions; DOCTOR!!!

#Doctor: RUN!!!

#Doctor: Bowties are cool.

#Doctor: Fezzes are cool

Of the three finalists, the Cybermen should have won, but I do think that the Angels should have been on that list.
