For those of you watching in the US tonight, discuss the series 4 finale here. Careful with the spoilers though for those in the UK and remember to use tags Smiley

I've not watched yet, but I have only heard good things so far. That jumping the shark picture has me a bit worried though

Not watched it yet, but from what I gather from Ice, me & Torchwood will be going our separate ways shortly.

Ok, I know I have a rep as a bit of a grump, but by god, if RTD walked into my flat right now I'd knock him the F out!

I dunno what I watched last night, but that was NOT Torchwood.

They made Rex immortal like Jack. How exactly?
Someone needs to remind RTD that Jack is immortal because Rose made him a fixed point in time. His blood has NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.
There's a throwaway line about the blessing (or giant vajayjay) being polar or something, but it just makes no sense.
Jack heals right away, but Rex & Esther are left lying at death's door, and Rex doesn't heal at all until after Charlotte shoots him at the end - WHY?

It feels like the whole show was made just to create a new American team for a new show.
And to add insult to injury, they did it with one of the WORST characters in Torchwood history.
A completely unlikeable, irritating tool.

There's no explanation of what the blessing actually is, but RTD chucks in a random line referencing Doctor Who in the hope we'll let it slide.

This whole season has felt like a case of a half interested RTD being given big bucks to work with US writers (don't start me on Espenson, I now think she's a twonk) and shovelling this turd out that could barely fill 5 episodes, let alone 10.

This series was an insult to all Torchwood fans in my opinion, and despite how awesome BARROWMAN!! is in the role of Jack, I'm done with it unless it goes back to being BBC only.

(edit - removed my spoiler tags now it's aired)

So...If Jack is the Face of Boe, is Rex the Face of Disgruntled Torchwood Fans the world over?

Yea I am the same. Not got around to the finale yet. I might watch it tomorrow or this evening. I've not heard anything good about it though so I'm not particularly excited.

I have to admit I haven't bothered with the last two episodes either. I lost interest quite early on but tried to keep going, but then I missed an episode and haven't bothered catching back up. I will at some point, but I don't feel any particular rush
