I see where you are going with this. I totally didn't even think of that when he said it. Well that's confirmation (if we even needed it) that his outcome is going to change on that beach

Good catch. That didn't occur to me at all. It will be interesting to see how they get out of that whole situation, especially given how much Moff keeps going on about how he is definately dead

The first thing I thought when I heard that line was 'then why do we keep getting all of this fixed point business?'

What exactly constitutes a fixed point?

It will be interesting to see how they do get around the whole Doctor dying thing. It seems fairly obvious that he won't, but at the same time it seems like a silly thing in that case to bring up and put in, so it must surely go somewhere. This does seem like a bit hint though that his future will change

Yeah, that caught my attention right away!  Can he avoid his fate at Lake Silencio now?   Afro

Do you actually think Moff will do a reset though? I mean, it's not like the show is about to end, but at the same time Moff seems very definate that he is dead and there is no getting out of it. I still think it will have something to do with Gangers

Can a Ganger regenerate?  Canton said that was definitely the Doctor that died, and Moffat said the same in the Confidential.

So in the next couple of episodes the Doctor will somehow have to age 200 years.  He has a diary that agrees with River's, so he has lived through all those adventures.  I honestly have no idea how they're going to re-write time so he doesn't die.  Maybe since it's a fixed point and they do change it, that's what causes the cracks in the universe?  We still don't know what caused the TARDIS to explode last season, and the older Doctor in TIA didn't have a TARDIS.  Also, something that always makes my head spin - when the Doctor beamed himself back 12 minutes in time after the Dalek shot him in "The Big Bang", there were 2 of him in existence.  Maybe there is another version of him left from that incident running around somewhere, and that's the one that dies?

See, this is what's so cool about story arcs - speculating on what's going to happen!   Afro

Well Gangers are meant to be biologically identical, so assuming, which I do, that regeneration is a body thing that activates from within (as apposed to maybe a mind thing that Time Lords are taught or something like that), then surely they would have the same abilities.

On the other hand though they did somehow manage to make Ganger Amy not pregnant, or at least not show pregnancy. I had a point to go with this sentence, but I just forgot it so I will leave it there and hope it comes back to me....

I do like the idea of it being the Doctor from TBB. Did we ever see that version die?

I am pretty sure that with Ganger Amy that they were controlling her appearance, while sending the signal.
