I was really impressed with the Handbots in this story. They looked really well made and really expensive. The whole episode did for that matter. They should have taken HanbotRory as a companion. Like a Kamelion Mark II or something Tongue I don't understand why they could only see with their hands though. I kept expecting something to come of that but it never did. They may as well have just given them eyes for all the difference it made.

As for the rest of the episode, it just looked so polished and well made. I was really impressed. The graphics and CGI were excellent and I liked the way they were bluring the images to shift between scenes. That was a cool effect. One of the best visual scenes for me was the Garden. Considering it was all fake it looked excellent and really realistic. Considering how much money we know has been spent on other episodes, I think this one is the best one of all the new episodes that actually looks like it cost a fortune to make, and not a penny was wasted. It looked amazing throughout.

Love the Kamelion II idea Grin

I totally agree about the look of the episode. The whole thing just seemed to look better than the last few episodes. It may have had something to do with all the white, because that always feels fresh and clean and new, but even the rest of it felt like it was made on a huge budget.

Those handbots are so destined to get their own figures.

I agree with you guys, this episode was visually stunning. I would like to veto calls for another Kamelion though please if you don't mind Tongue

The episode looked brilliant. Some of the episodes of the last two years, particularly a lot of series 5, looked a little on the cheap side, but this one, despite not being one of the more expensive ones to make (as far as I know, anyway), just looked so polished and well produced

Yea it looked great. As Ex said, I think it may be to do with the fact it all seemed so white and bright, which gave it a fresher look. The robots looked excellent too and the CGI was some of the most realistic since the show returned

I think the thing about the Hand-Bots was simply that they looked more sinister without eyes.

I've seen a lot of people around the net saying how cheap they thought this episode looked. I thought it looked great, personally.

Shocked Really? I thought the set was great. Yes, just a plain white room is easy. But the rest of the sets were great too! Not to mention the stunning CGI gardens!

Definately! Those gardens looked amazing and the rest of it was good too. Don't understand why people would say it seemed cheap

It definately didn't look cheap to me. I thought it was visually the best episode of the season so far.

I thought this was a Jurassic Park thread....

On topic, the CGI garden thingy looked pretty sweet. Didn't like the robots though.

Haha that was my first thought Tongue

I thought the overall episode looked pretty good. I don't think it looked particularly amazing for the main part. The reception area, the vents etc are things we have seen time and time again, but the CGI, the gardens etc all looked brilliant, so I definately wouldnt say it looked cheap either.

Exactly. I think some people just like to moan.
