It was Nimon he said, was it? I thought so but I wasn't so sure because some of the dialogue was a bit iffy at times. But yea, nice little tie in there.

Yea it definately was Nimon. By this point I had put the subtitles on to make sure I wasn't missing stuff because I found some of the speech to be a bit mumbled too

I particularly liked the reference to Nimon being in one of the most polished, beautifully shot episodes I think its ever been my pleasure to watch. A reminder of where we have been with the show and where we have got to Smiley

The Doctor said he was related to the Nimon.  It's some time since I watched that story (I wonder why) so I can't remember how similar they are, but both are Minotaur-type creatures.

Actually, it's the fourth time they've done the Minotaur on Doctor Who - The Mind Robber, The Time Monster, The Horns of Nimon, The God Complex.

I think what would have been cooler is if they just went all out and called this a Nimon. It may look a lot different but so do the Silurians. A redesign is nothing new.

I agree. Call a spade a spade. What's the point in making it a distant relative when they could have just called it a Nimon, gave the fans a little squee and then move along. It feels a bit like they chickened out

This went totally over my head when I watched. I heard the line but didn't make the association. Mainly because I had no idea what one looked like until I just saw that picture, but also because I thought they were pronounced like 'nee-mon'

I'll have to watch it

Yep, I am with you two. They should have just called it a Nimon and been done with it
