One thing I found particularly odd in this story is the whole thing about Rory having no faith and therefore being able to leave. No faith in the Doctor, no faith in Amy, no faith in himself. Is he supposed to just be empty or devoid of it? It just seemed really silly to me. It felt to me all throughout this story that Rory has just sort of given up, particularly during the 'past tense' speech with the Doctor. He just seems miserable like he doesn't want to be there. I love Rory, but it sort of makes me want him to get out now so that he doesn't start getting on my nerves by being grumpy and dowdy all the time

I thought that was a bit odd with the faith thing. Everyone has faith in something so it made him seem really negative. I would also definately agree that he is seeming really fed up in the last few stories. That said though, he was always a sort of reluctant traveller anyway and was only ever there for Amy. I think he would always choose settling down with a family over travelling in the TARDIS.

I'd have expected him to have faith in either Amy or his medical training (or both)

Yeah it surprised me too that he had no faith in Amy... Or no faith in the Doctor to get them out or home okay... No faith that they'd find River or anything... :/

It was definately an odd part of the story. I'm not sure if it was a way to show that not everyone was a viable meal, or if they were dropping a hint as to something to do with Rory and puposely pointing out his lack of faith.

Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the wind stands fair and The Doctor comes to call, everybody lives.

Maybe linked to his disastrous mistake.  Unless that was The Rebel Flesh, but that didn't seem disastrous enough to warrant the hype.

There was a lot of focus on that before the series, but I, like many others, just thought it was the Rebel Flesh thing. I'd be surprised if we see it being something different now though. If it is as huge as it was hyped up to be then surely it would have repercussions beyond the two episodes we have left (with possibly only one more containing the character)

I agree with PP. Everyone has faith in something, so that comment made Rory sound really hollow as a character. I can only assume they plan on going somewhere with it later on otherwise it was a very odd thing to say

They have to come back to it later on, surely. Its such a silly thing to just leave hanging there to say someone has no faith in anything whatsoever
