Just a bit of a fun thread. If you suddenly found yourself in that hotel, what scary thing from your nightmares would you find in your room?

My fear of failure somehow... Failing next year, not getting into uni... Biggest fear = failure for me so however you could represent that...

Zombies. Zombies or fish. I have a huge fish phobia and a massive fear that we will one day be overrun with zombies, so opening a door onto either of those would be enough to have me running towards the minotaur.

Mine would have a full-length mirror in it, and when I looked into it I'd see myself reflected as my mother.  (Long story...)

Like this one?

Grin

In all fairness it would probably be a snake for me too. When I was a kid I watched a documentary about Anacondas and have been terrified ever since.

Ah, the Mara.  Infinitely more scary when it couldn't be seen.

What a cool thread Smiley

The Grim Reaper would probably be in my room. Death terrifies me. Not just my own, but death in general is a bit of a touchy subject for me.

Either that or one of my exes Grin

Spiders in mine. Big hairy spiders that are determined to eat me. It's making me shudder just thinking about it

The odd thing about my phobia is that I'm only scared of imaginary snakes, not real ones.  OK, I'm not saying I'd pet a cobra, but I don't really have any irrational fear - the times I've actually been introduced to snakes, I've found them quite charming.  It's that fantasy of being swallowed by a giant snake that's the phobia.
