What were your thoughts on this bit of casting? I have to admit I was sort of dreading his appearance, but he surprised me, or at least I surprised myself, by not finding him that annoying. He really sort of suited the role and I think the writing really complimented the casting. It was sort of the same last year with James Cordon. I expected to hate him too but he was quite bearable.

To be honest, I hadn't realised it was him till the cast-list came up.  I remember hearing he was going to be in an episode, but I'd completely forgotten.

I don't have a strong opinion about him one way or the other, but I liked his performance here.

I love David Walliams, and I have to admit that he was pretty awesome! Tongue He seemed to work really well with that doctor, an amazing actor imo! Smiley

I don't mind the guy. I was a bit concerned he might really ham it up, but I think he played it quite well and he delivered the more comedic lines really well.

I'm just glad they covered him in makeup because the thing that annoys me most about this guy is the ridiculous faces he pulls all the time when he is speaking. As for the part though, credit where it's due I thought he did a good job. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I wasn't disapointed

I think that is one of the things I was dreading most. He always pulls silly faces or does silly voices (though I suppose a lot of his work calls for that), and I expected him to give one of those type of performances here.

I think I may have said this before - when he was first cast - but I don't watch any of his comedy shows (not my cup of tea) so I have only ever seen him as himself in interviews or in a few dramas. He was always very good in them so I had no worries in advance & think he did well in this.
