I know we aren't quite at the end yet and so there is still room for Moff to bring them out, but I have to say I haven't missed the Daleks this season at all and I don't think the series has suffered by not wheeling them out for their annual airing. The last few Dalek stories have been mediocre at best so I really think resting them was a good idea, and now after 11 episode I have to say I really havent felt as though we are missing them.

Anyone feel the same, or think that they should have been around this year?

Very glad not to have seen them. Lots of great old and new monsters to explore Smiley

I haven't particularly missed them to be honest. I don't understand the need to allocate them a story every year anyway. Series 6 hasn't felt like it's missing them up to this point and surely the time off will make their return seem a lot more special and important

Absolutely.  I certainly wouldn't want the Daleks to disappear permanently, but they've been rather overused in NuWho.  Tom Baker was the Doctor for longer than the whole NuWho so far, and he only had two Dalek stories.

Exactly. I think we have seen way too much of them over the last few years so I am happy to see them take a break for a bit and hopefully they will then return in a great, fitting story
