Mixed Doctor Boxed Set - The Unit Years

A new set is in the works with a provisional title of The Unit Years, which is due for release January 2012. The set will contain Third Doctor story Invasion Of The Dinosaurs alongside Fourth Doctor story The Android Invasion. No covers as yet, but I will update when they are announced.

Of all the stories I would say would fit perfectly in a 'Unit Years' set, these wouldn't be two of them. Both decent stories even with low quality CGI, but not exactly the signiture stories of the unit years

I'd agree - especially when you consider Ambassadors of Death, The Mind of Evil, The Daemons and Terror of the Zygons are still unreleased.

I agree with you about the randomness - I know UNIT is heavily involved in The Android Invasion but I would hardly have it in a box set called "The UNIT Files". Why not call it The "Two Stories that look really good on paper but didn't quite come off on screen due to various plot holes and some ropey special effects" Files.

I'm still going to buy it.

I want to know what the third disc is. As far as I can see both stories contain one disc. I'd guess though based on the amount of restoration work done on it that the IOTD will get the second disc

Totally agree. Very often I find the extras justify the cost far more than the story. This looks like it will be one of those buys.
