The Cybermen are some of my favourite Who villains, well above the Daleks, but they are starting to feel a bit pathetic. They are so easily defeated and barely even put up a fight any more. I miss the times when they used to be scary and intimidating.

That's always the problem with recurring villains. They have to lose every time so how do you still make them scary? Same thing happened in recent years with the Daleks, and in the 80s with the Master. Personally I still enjoy seeing them though, despite my various niggles with the way they move/sound in nu-Who.

Oh yea, I do still love to see them. I just wish they wouldn't have them seem so feeble

I think that the Cybermen were quite poorly used here which is a shame. It was good to see them again, even if they were more stompy than normal, but I think they could have been put to better use elsewhere because really any old monster would have fit this episode.

The last three times they've been used they were just tossed in for no special reason.  I want a real, serious Cyberman story.

I think it would have been better to use a different villain here. There is a certain level of expectation with certain villains and this just wasn't a big enough or good enough gig for them. It's always good to see the Cybermen but they were pretty underused here and made to look a bit silly

I think perhaps the Cybermen are now in need of a rest as well. They havent been as overused as the Daleks, but they aren't the type of baddie that should just be rolled out in order to fit a gap. As Nyki said above, the last few times we have seen them have been a bit pointless and they have been made to look a bit naff (well, Cyberhead in TPO was awesome, but still). We need them to come back badder than ever and ready for revenge for the whole blowing them up in AGMGTW, not hiding out in the ladies department of Selfridges.

Yes, I agree the cameo in TPO was awesome, but it was still just a cameo.

I'd forgotten all about the Cyberhead. That was brilliant.

They were a complete waste of time in this latest episode. They were the one thing I was looking forward to and they ended up being the biggest let down of the whole story.

They definately need a rest if this is the best type of story they can cook up for them. They deserve better.

I agree. They didn't have much of a story here other than to be defeated (very easily). The Cybermen are awesome, so should have an awesome story all of their own.

The Cybermen are my favourite, but I really don't like what they did with them in this story. They were used as filler just to give some backbone to the story, but I think its a shame because they deserve to have a big all out Cyber story. Their last few appearances have almost been like a joke.
