Set in the fictional town of Chance Harbor, Washington, the series follows a California teenager who learns that she comes from a family of witches. Cassie, the main character, lost her mother in what she believes is an accident, leaving her an orphan. She quickly finds friends at her new school and finds out the secret of her family's history and the history of all the town's witches. But then she finds an old paper book which has another secret in it: her mother's death might not have been an accident.Anyone been watching this? It's about three or four episodes in now but it's really good. I wasn't so sure about it after the first episode but it's getting better every week. It's a lot like that film The Craft, only more modern and there are guy witches too. The stories have all been good so far but the characters have been a little inconsistent and you are never really sure who to root for or who to like but its not so much of a big deal that it's offputting. Definately worth a look.

I know what you mean by the character but I don't think it is an oversight or anything like that. I think for the moment we are meant to be a bit unsure who to trust. For example Faye and Diana. Fay is meant to be the bad rebelious one but I really think she will end up being more of a likeable character whereas Diana is meant to be the most moral and straight laced character, but something about her makes me think she is going to go off the egde and turn evil.
The latest episode where we find out more about Cassies mother and her childhood friends was really good and they left that on a good cliffhanger with the demon thing so I think the next few episodes should be pretty good while they work out whats going on (assuming its actually addressed in the next few episodes).

I know what you mean about Diana. She is way too prim and nice to not end up a psycho, especially with the way her boyfriend is all over Cassie. She protests so much about the proper use of magic that she is bound to be the one who goes psycho crazy with the spells.

I've been quite enjoying this though it isn't at all how I expected it to play out. That's not a bad thing though. Its been extended to 22 episodes now so it will be interesting to see where they go with it over the course of the season.

I've only seen 2 episodes, the most terrifying thing is how the dude from Sarah Connor (chronicles was it?) is slowly morphing into Adam Lambert. He wears some amount of eye make-up!
Not sold on the show. It's no Charmed or The Vampire Diaries, but time will tell.

I thought it was makeup. I never watched the Sarah Connor show but my friend loved it and she said his eyes are always like that and just naturally dark so now I'm not sure.
Anyway, you should keep up with it. It starts off a little shakey but gets better as it goes along.

The latest episode with the new guy was BORING!!!!!! It set up some potentially good plot points but I lost interest after about 5 minutes. I just hope it was a one off!

Is that the one where the dead guys brother came to town? I wasn't so keen on it and I really don't like him so far. The cliffhanger ending could open up some cool new stories though.

Rumour has it that this is heading for cancellation. It will be such a shame though if it does because it's been getting so good.

I've fallen behind with this, too. I think I have 4 or 5 episodes to catch up with. I was enjoying it but it started to seem like it wasn't going anywhere. I might just wait for the season to end and do it in one go.

This is another one I have sort of given up on. I was enjoying it loads when I was actually watching but between episodes I was losing interest so I am just going to wait until the finale and watch it in a marathon.

I'm starting my rewatch of this today. I've not watched it for ages and I've forgotten most of whats been going on so I thought I'd start from the beginning and get up to speed.

Such a shame about the cancellation. The CW has been a total mess this year. If it wasn't for Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries they would have hardly any viewers. This show did better than most so to axe it and keep that awful Dixie show wasn't a good move.

I'm not surprised it didn't last. It wasn't bad, but it felt really dragged out with little actually going on.
