I'm opening this now for discussion of the new adventure game, which is released in a fortnight. The main Adventure Games thread can then be kept for general news discussion Smiley

Release of this has been pushed back by the way, from Hallowe'en to Bonfire Night, which I suppose is more fitting.

I've not ginished yet. I started it on Monday but havent had time to go back to it. Only encountered the Rutans so far. Visually it looks great and there is some good attention to details, but the mini puzzles aren't as good as before (only done two so they might improve) and with no cards to collect that element of fun has been removed so it would have been nice to keep that. Rory also looks nothing like Arthur Darvill which is odd considering how good Amy and the Doctor look. Also there is a bit at the beginning with the sonic that is both tedious and pointless. It looks like it will be great though so I will rate it properly once I am done.

You know, I'd totally forgotten all about this. I might have a go later and see if I can finish it.

I was hoping I would be able to come on and read a couple of reviews. I haven't even downloaded it yet. You lot are so slow this year. I thought everyone would have finished it by now Tongue

Well it certainly took a long while but I got there in the end!

I've did have some awful problems with this game! Well I'm not sure if it's my PC or if its the game itself! It kept going soooo slooowww- more likely my PC to be honest, and then on occasions where I was running up the stairs Rory would keep accidentally leaving the building, falling off and then I had tot start again, and then the same thing happened when I was crossing a bridge over some water with Amy, she fell in and nothing actually happened... Weird...

That certainly has to be the longest of all the adventure games - I would say it took me about 6hours to complete! The setting were pretty awesome too, so easy to get lost in! A fairly good plot to it as well! Definitely worth finishing if you haven't already! Smiley

It was quite difficult in places too! Got pretty stuck at times - hence why it probably took me so long- but if anyone gets stuck and wants a hand just shout and I'll try help!

I had another go the other day and got a bit further into it but I think I am still quite a way from the end. It all looks great but I'm just not as interested this time around.

To be honest I'm just not enjoying this as much as the others. I miss the collectables and the controls seem a lot harder to use and more difficult to navigate. The look of it is good and the plot could be brilliant, I just feel a lot less bothered about playing
