Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the wind stands fair and The Doctor comes to call, everybody lives.

One that almost everyone makes - referring to the alternative world as a "different dimension".  A dimension is a direction - length, breadth, height, time etc - and going from one universe to another would be going via a different dimension.

Also (again a common one in this kind of stories) if history has been radically different since at least 1943, what are the chances of every single person who's involved in the project in one reality also being involved in the other?

When the guy is using the coolant on the Primords, at times none is even coming out.

The Primords give off so much heat that that spanner was hot for hours, and yet their clothes don't burn or catch fire?

I think she was within the TARDIS's field.

There is a fire extinguisher in the Brigae Leader's office, but nobody thinks to pick it up and use it

This is one of the things that always sticks out to me. Nyki's reasoning is probably the best though I think it probably was an error.

It's a silly thing to pick at, but often you can see skin under the Primord costumes.

I think when I watch this story I am just to engrossed to nitpick because considering the amount of times I have seen it I have never picked up on anything. The only think I did wonder about was the Bessie thing and Nyki's answer is as good as any for that
