Basically, for my 18th/Christmas (plus some of my savings money depending) I'm going to get a laptop (for uni) and I'm totally in two minds on what I should get...

Do I get a MacBook Pro (the cheapest one, don't need anything too fancy Tongue ) or do I get a what I call "normal" Dell laptop? The most 'major' thing it has to be able to do is run Sims 3  Wink Wink

So because I don't know too much about Macs wondered what you guys know and if you have any suggestions for me? (You have about a week TongueSmiley

I'd stick with Windows. I find it far more reliable than Macs. I hate Macs.

I wouldn't have gone with a Mac personally. I find them quite difficult to opperate and a lot of people I know who use them have technical issues a lot.

Haha, well I'm posting from my MacBook, and despite a couple of issues with the blinking mouse I'm getting the hang of it Smiley It's quite nice actually Smiley

I don't mind Macs. I had one a couple years back and it worked ok. I prefer Windows but both have their pros and cons

I adore Macs - have been using them for many years. Have had to suffer with unreliable Windows PCs at work.

My personal laptop is a Mac and my work laptop is Windows.  I like the Mac better.  Some of the functionality takes some getting used to, but it's a quick learning curve I think.  Hope you enjoy it!
