Ok, so I did what none of you were brave enough to do and watched the first episode.

It was awful, but strangely watchable. It seems that Bob Baker is determined to distance himself from DW as much as possible, and K9 (from what I can gather) no longer remembers the Doctor. The plot was pretty thin and the kids in it were totally annoying, but the acting isnt too bad and an effort has been made to make it quite original. I dont think I will watch again, but at least now I can say I gave it a go. The redesign of K9 is horrendous and looks even worse on screen than it does in pictures, which doesnt help really, either. The fact that he now flies also made me want to kill things.

There are apparantly another 2 parts to this, but I think I will just give them a miss

I'll find somewhere online to watch the first episode once I've finished watching The War Games

Oh dear Sad  I will prob give a go as it would be unfair to have an opinion on it without having done so more than any other reason, lol.

He doesn't remember the Doctor?!?!  What's the point in that?  Unless it's a clever way around binning the redesign and being able to bring him back into canon in the future maybe...

Sigryn if you make me watch this with you, or if you don't have those units in the South Ridge repaired by midday, there'll be hell to pay.

We can if The Doc has the swear filter implemented, because when I get back, it will look like Quentin Tarantino wrote the post, because it will be so filthy. Tongue

10 minutes in, it's very clunky and clumsy so far.  The fake accents are getting on my nerves too Sad

I think they made a mistake in introducing so many characters in one 20 minutes episode, and it felt like there were large bits of plot missing.  So much time past storywise, a few weeks or so, that it felt like it kept skipping bits.

The accents were truly dreadful, esp the blonde kid, why out source filming and then get actors who can't do a British accent.  Let them do their own I say, is far less annoying to hear.  The 'police' doing the Cockney thing was just cringe worthy too Roll Eyes

Don't think I'll be watching any more Sad

Right, well, that was a whole bunch of suck.

That episode had more characters than a Russell T. Davies Who Finale.

The theme song, or lack there of, kind of forces itself on you.

The plot made me do this:

The new model K9 is a disgrace to the Whoniverse. Even the Absorbaloff was like "Heh, how pathetic is that?"

The "dog whistle" is worse than a Slitheen fart.

Its funny that the show is on a channel called Disney XD since "XD" is an expression that was used very often while watching the episode.

I could eat a box of Alpha-Bits

and crap a better script.

When I tried to watch it on my computer, it actually spoke to me, and said "if you make me play this again I will download a virus, you have been warned."

I hope, for the sake of humanity, that it doesn't get renewed.

I'm actually wanting to watch it now, just to see how bad it really is!

I think if it was another subject I would be less critical of it, thou I still say that taking it to Oz and setting it in London just doesn't work even for these kid shows Sad  I loved K9 when I was younger, but tbh I preferred his role in Queer as Folk more than I have since his return in NuWho Tongue

He worked with 4 and Romana in a way that perhaps isn't really possible nowadays imo.  His design is too clumsy for him to be part of the team full time so he's reduced to being the deus ex machina that flies in to save the day before disappearing off again Sad

I watched. I hated. The accents were one of the worst things, but its hard to choose one standout bad thing out of a lot of them
