Glad that it is going out (relatively) simultaneously on BBCA as well - shows the profile of the show is still as high as ever!

It's odd that they have done it so early this year. The day was obvious but the timing they usually leave until last minute. Perhaps they realised how many people got annoyed at how late they left the info for S6.

That said though, as far as I can see ITV have not released their schedule which is risky for the BBC, especially if ITV decide to move Corrie to 7. Could really dent the episode.

They may have done now as I've seen that the Christmas ep of Downton Abbey is on at 9pm.

Oh right. Where did you see that? Was it online or in a listings magazine? I've been trying to find out but haven't turned up much luck

It was a retweet on my Twitter timeline - I believe from the ITV feed.

I think 7 is a good time. It will have more competition and I would say it will deffinately be up against Coronation Street, but it's been on about 6ish the last few years which has seemed a bit early.

Just did a bit of digging & I've found this site https://sites.google.com/site/ukchristmastv/Home - it's not official but whoever runs it seems to know their stuff (all listings subject to change/innaccuracy I guess).

You have to go to the correct channel & year, & after a bit of searching it would appear to be All Star Family Fortunes, with Corrie being pitted against the Christmas ep of Strictly. Eastenders is going up against Downton Abbey.

EDIT - just done some digging around in the BBC & ITV press sections & that is true - DW is against ASFF.

After all Vernon Kay said about beating Doctor Who, I would genuinely love Doctor Who to beat ASFF this year Smiley

Thanks PRG. It was really bugging me this morning trying to find out. I'll be very surprised if it doesn't trash Family Fortunes.
