From the unique mind of Douglas Adams, the legendary ‘lost’ Doctor Who story completed at last!

The Doctor’s old friend and fellow Time Lord Professor Chronotis has retired to Cambridge University – where nobody will notice if he lives for centuries.

But now he needs help from the Doctor, Romana and K-9. When he left Gallifrey he took with him a few little souvenirs – most of them are harmless. But one of them is extremely dangerous.

The Worshipful and Ancient Law of Gallifrey isn’t a book for Time Tots. It is one of the Artefacts, dating from the dark days of Rassilon.

It must not be allowed to fall into the wrong hands. And the sinister Skagra most definitely has the wrong hands. He wants the book. He wants to discover the truth behind Shada. And he wants the Doctor’s mind…

Based on the scripts for the original television series by the legendary Douglas Adams, Shada retells an adventure that never made it to the screen.

I love that this is being released, but that cover looks cheap and nasty

I actually physically cannot wait for this. I have a copy of the Big Finish Audio and I have a grainy VHS attempt to cobble it together using Tom Baker's linking narration. This story is one of the most amazing in scale and ambition and I love it. Can't wait to see what Gareth Roberts has done in respect of the novelisation.

Depending on who reads the Audiobook I might have to double up and buy both Cheesy

I quite like the cover. Well, the font style at least. The rest of it is pretty standard. Couple of stars etc.

I think this will be a great read and is on my 'must buy' list.

The novelisation is now available for pre-order on Amazon and strangely the hardcover is cheaper than the paperback. To those of us old enough to remember, hardback novelisations were usually the province of the library so this is my first purchase of a new, hardback Doctor Who book. It really is significant Smiley

This book has been reviewed to death in the various parts of the Whoniverse - I was going to write a review but I think everyone is probably a little sick of it. Audiobook is good though Grin and I don't know if the price is still the same but iTunes etc have the audiobook available for about £15 - if you go straight to the AudioGo website, they will charge £9.95 - which is a pretty good price Smiley
