Sophia Myles, who played Reinette in TGITF, attended the read through for the episode in place of Catherine Tate.

This is a bit random but interesting nonetheless.

It should take Lance more then 32 hours to reach the centre of the earth travelling at the terminal free fall of 122 MPH or 195 KPH. If this is the case, he should have died when the water flooded the shaft, and not actually been eaten (unless the Racnoss children were incredibly fast climbers).

What? Surely it wouldn't take that long to hit the middle? I mean, I know it's big, but still.

It's several thousand miles.

One of the deleted scenes is of the Doctor throwing Rose's coat out of the TARDIS, but they thought it was so melodramatic that they didn't even include it on the DVD deleted scenes.
