I'm being a bit premature starting this thread, with at least one significant Doctor Who event due to hit our screens in 28 hours or so. But I have been thinking that with the end of the year approaching it might be fun to contemplate our favourite moments in the "Whoniverse". I was going to do a poll but then I figured that each one of us might have a slightly different moment....

It might be an episode of season 6, it might be a moment within an episode (the revelation of River Song as Amy's Daughter, the "Amy Ganger" revelation). It might be that season 6 didn't float your boat but the final episode of Sarah Jane Adventures was your favourite part. You might have been waiting for the return of Torchwood with baited breath or you might have whooped for joy when the possibility of a Doctor Who Movie surfaced.

Whatever your favourite, it has been an amazing year in the life of our little show. And we've followed it all, here on the forum. And that has been my over-riding memory of Doctor Who in 2011. Watching it, then coming on here and sharing my thoughts with my friends on the forum. So my favourite "Who Highlight" of 2011 has been being on the forum with all of you Smiley

Awesome idea, and loads to choose from. I think though that mine was when they released the prequel to TIA a few days before S6 started. It wasn't the best thing about the season but that was when we really knew it was coming back and my excitement levels hit fever pitch.

I'm completely in love with that last scene in The Curse of the Black Spot, and also the scene between Rory and Older Amy at the end of The Girl Who Waited... For me they were the best bits, but you can't forget the rewatches on here, they're always great fun Smiley

For me I think it was probably The Girl Who Waited.

Two for me, which are so different I can't choose between them - the TARDIS revealing that she "stole" the Doctor in the first place, and the finding of the lost episodes.

There are so many to choose from. Finding the lost episodes, finally discovering who River Song is, The Girl Who Waited, the mini eps for comic relief etc. 2011 was a good year for DW.
