With no new Sarah Jane Adventures to look forward to in 2012, I think now would be a good time to take a look back over the past series', starting with Series 1.
So which one was your favourite and why?

For me, without a shadow of a doubt, the best story of the first series was Whatever Happened.... It had a brilliant cast and it was great to get a bit of an insight into Sarah Janes backstory. I think it was also one of, if not the, first grown up type story that SJA told. It was always aimed at younger kids but this story showed that you can tell childrens stories without them seeming childish. The ones before this one were good, but seemed a but too young.

WHTSJ gets my vote too. Unpopular as it is, Invasion Of The Bane would be second choice

I went of Eye of the Gorgon. I really loved the mythical aspect of it

Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane gets my vote. The 'Sarah Jane Smith' stories are always, always excellent.

I know it's generally unpopular, but I really like Invasion Of The Bane, so that's what I voted for

Mine was a toss-up between Eye of the Gorgon and Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane, both of which were awesome, but I voted for Eye of the Gorgon. I thought it was a beautifully contructed story with a fascinating enemy, and a wonderful performance from Phyllida Law.

The Lost Boy from me, I just love how innocent and young it makes Luke seem and how much he depends on Sarah Jane

All of them are quite good and have their moments. The only one I really don't like is Warriors Of Kudlak. That one really bugs me

Eye of the Gorgon.
There aren't very many stories in the first series that were particularly great. It's from the second series, I think, that the show really started to take off.
