All I will say is to be prepared for a little bit of an emotional roller coaster but enjoy the ride Wink

Are you including the christmas specials in your watchathon?

Depending on how you perceive the ending to series 2 Runaway Bride may prove a little lightweight but well worth the watch - as is series 3  Smiley

ah! I'm very very new to the whoniverse and I still have to learn all the subtilities. All I can tell you is that I've got the series 2 UK set, I don't know if the Christmas special is in it?

I've just been through all the threads while moving some of the sections around and there isnt one specific to seres 2 for some reason. Ive just created the series 2 section so if you want to post a thread on a particular episode or story then please go ahead as we need to get them filled up Smiley

My first look at ten was with Blink and I didn't see much of him. I never had an initial opinion on the character of 10 because he was my first Doctor and I had no idea what to expect. I like him a lot now, but ten is probably my 5th or 6th favorite (not that he's bad, but there are so many great Doctors).

Yeah, David Tennant is my favorite Doctor. But as much as I hate to say it, I was so upset in the episode where Eccleston first regenerated, I didn't watch any more episodes until a couple of days later. Christopher was my first Doctor, and that was just hard to get over.... But I found that as I kept watching, I really warmed up to David, to the point where he's now my favorite. Christopher was first, though, and he'll always have a special place for me Cheesy

The first time I saw him I wasn't impressed. I wanted Eccleston back. It wasn't helped that his first story was a bit rubbish. Then he grew on me and I loved him, but now I'm sort of 'meh' about him. For me he became very unlikable towards the end and when I look back on a lot of his performances I find a lot more faults with it. I still think he is a good Doctor but not to the level that most of fandom holds him.

Welcome to the forum, btw Smiley

Thanks Cheesy

And I agree about David. He is put on a pedestal a bit as the best doctor ever- which isn't what I mean at all by having him as my fav. He's only number one by a bit, and he's closely followed by a tie between Christopher and Matt. Christopher being my first Doctor and successfully bringing the show back, David having (in my opinion) the closest Doctor persona to the originals, and Matt for giving it that old-or-young feel and having the best writing.

Sometimes, it's hard to decide.

DT was my favourite for so long, but then Matt came along and changed everything. Now I find Ten really annoying. Still watchable because I love so many of his stories, but he's way too emo. I didn't realise just how bad it got until I saw a fresh new take on the role from Matt Smith.
