As much as this story leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and I am aware I may be alone in this, but I would sort of like to see the Quarks return in a better story, with an updated design, to see what can be done with them. I think they have quite a lot of potential and could go over quite well, despite their dodgy origins here.

I would love them to return. I honestly think they would give the Daleks a run for their money. They would need a strong scary story and a bit of a design overhaul though. Not a total redesign, because I like how they look overall, but enough so they didn't look like they were wearing the box your stereo was delivered in. Perhaps a different voice too. Other than that though I think there is definately room for them in NuWho. They are probably more overlooked because this is generally regarded as such a poor story, but I think they would terrify kids today if Moff would let them come in an melt a few faces off  |

I thought they were quite violent, especially given the time. Or maybe because of the time. I think they could work well these days, but I bet they would have to be tamed down somewhat.

I think they could fit in, definately, and I think that they could replace the Daleks on fear factor, because they just aren't scary anymore. But, I don't think we will ever see them again for the simple reason they are associated with such a bad story and would probably have to be toned down, which defeats the object somewhat.

That looks awesome. And kinda evil. Really brings the design up to date while staying quite true to the original.
I'd be all for them coming back and getting a second, better shot in the show. It's doubtful they would, but I do think they could work

I think the Quarks had some brilliant potential in this story. Some of it was realised, some of it wasn't, but enough of it came through that you could get a good feel for what they are about. I think if they returned in the new series and were reworked into a better story they could really take off.
