Sorry. I was going to update this a season a week but I fell behind.

Anyways, Season 3 has arrived and it's time to choose your favourite, so get voting Smiley

Overall I think this season was a lot weaker than the one that came before it, but there are a couple of good stories mixed in. Master Plan took my vote, but The War Machines and The Ark would round out my top three.

I think the DMP is the Whoniverse equivalent of that person at college who you never asked out and will always remain young and lovely in your mind. It is something of a holy grail and I love the way it has a hold over us, just because it is not there any more.

I completely agree with PP Smiley DMP, then War Machines then The Ark (with an honourable mention for Galaxy Four)

I don't think I could go with anything other than DMP. Couple of good ones there but that one is the best of the bunch

DMP is my favourite, bar none.  Well, ignoring a certain Christmas episode.  And The War Machines and The Ark are both good, but that's partly because they've survived and are more familiar.  Galaxy 4 was great, and The Massacre's not bad.

I've gone for The Ark. I think this is such an underrated story. I've resisted The Dalek's Master Plan. Although it is great to see the Daleks on such an epic scale I thought it sagged badly after a strong start, with the Doctor and his companions basically just going from one place to another. Great to see the Monk back, though. I think The Savages deserve a mention as well -- the fact that they don't see anything wrong with what they are doing appeals to me. It is better when villains are given more of a rationale for what they do. The War Machines was strong as well, only the Machines themselves seemed a little like Betamax daleks. So, because I can find no criticism of it, I'm sticking with The Ark.

The War Machines. I actually love it. The first time I watched it was ok, but it is one of those stories that literally gets better every single time I watch it. (also, I have seen very little of this season)

TDMP by a country mile. It's a travesty that they junked it.

I have voted here for The Myth Makers. It had so many holes in it that it's beyond a joke, but there is something about it that I absolutely adore, and Vicki's departure is genius.
