It's easy, I think, to take the high ground and say 'I'd protest', but I think if I was in that situation and floating through space with the possibility of ending the lives of that many people, I have to say I would probably hit the forget button. It's not nice, but there we go. I always have this feeling when I watch the episode though that it doesn't matter what average Joe Public chooses, they will be memory wiped and everything will stay as normal unless the Queen chooses to protest, like she eventually does.

I think I would probably be the same. I think 'forget' is an easy option if you know you can be safe and also forget. I'd like to think I'd be strong and push protest, though.

It's a tough one to call really, without being in that situation. Like the others, I would like to think that I would protest but whether or not I would is hard to answer. I agree though with TC that it wouldn't matter what you press, the result would be the same.

I honestly think I would protest. It would just feel right to me. Besides, wasn't there like a 5% margin or something? I think I could protest guilt free and be pretty sure I wouldn't take the number over that 5%

I really don't know - it's difficult to tell without being in the situation.  I hope I wouldn't be thinking of my own safety, but it would be difficult to decide to condemn millions of other people to death.

I'd want to protest, but the truth is I probably would hit forget.

I'd probably hit forget. It's shitty, but if I knew I would not only be guilt free, but have no memory of it, then it would just seem the best thing. It's all well and good saying 'what about the whale', and it's a sad situation, but what about me? Or my family and friends? Selfish it may be, but I know which one I would rather see survive. Human survival instict would kick in for 99.9% of people, I'm sure.

Got to admire the honesty. I think I would do exactly the same.

I'd hit protest. I just know I would. Sounds easy to say given that I am not in that situation and perhaps I ought not to be so sure because of that, but I honestly think I would protest it
