Boe
« on: February 14, 2012, 01:21:27 pm »

I really liked the Face Of Boe. It's a shame he died in this because it would have been nice to see him again. I know we could do timey wimey but he seemed very knowing and he seemed to know that The Doctor wouldn't see him again. The big question, though, is do you think Jack and Boe are the same? I know that was the intention and it certainly was implied, but they never fully stated it and I know some fans like to think otherwise, so what do you think?

I think he's Jack.  It can't be a coincidence that the message, You Are Not Alone, specifically refers to something Jack experienced.

I definately think he is Jack. I know RTD tried backpeddling on it afterwards but Julie Gardner said it was definately him. I remember when it was revealed how exciting I thought it was and what an awesome bit of canon/continuity it was.

And I would also have loved to see him again. I think I prefer Boe to Jack, to be honest.

I thought Boe was really cute. There was a line where the Doctor called him a 'big old face' or something like that and it always makes me laugh.

And he is definately Jack. Without a doubt in my mind.

I definately think they are one and the same. All the signs point to it, even if it wasn't explicitely said on the screen. It may as well have been. I prefer Boe to Jack I think.

Boe is awesome. Just a big face in a jar. How cool is that?! I also really like that he is good. Ignoring that 'Jack' factor, the show doesn't show enough nice/good aliens.

This. In DW at any rate. I don't mind him in TW so much, just not in DW.

Boe is just one of those really likable characters. He doesn't really do anything, but is always good in a scene. He's just a big face, but you can really believe he is old and wise. I'd like to see him again. I'm sure they could find a way to write him back in.

Well, if it's anything before the year five billion and whatever, he could still be around.  I'm sure there's a vague precedent somewhere for the Doctor not meeting people in the right order Cool

Well Boe did say it was the last time they would meet, and he seems to know his stuff. Unless he meant specifically Ten. Or of course time could be rewritten.
