This occurred to me while I was recently rewatching series 5. There are several elements in SJA that they were presumably intending to take further, and it might be possible in some cases to do so in Doctor Who. Is there anything you think should be taken up in DW?
Personally, I'd like to see more about the Shopkeeper and the Captain, and perhaps get more hints about who they are. Perhaps a Guardian?

The Doctor already dealt with the Trickster and the Claw Shansheeth. The Trickster could re-appear in Doctor Who, but he was already in a couple of SJA stories, and almost won both times. He might make an interesting opponent. The Claw Shansheeth was just one rogue group of the Shansheeth, from the 15th Funeral Fleet. This suggests that the Shansheeth are widely spread throughout the universe, and therefore it would make sense that the Doctor, who is often around death, might encounter them again. Personally, I'd like to see more of the following characters from SJA: - Androvax (the Veil)
- The Metalkind (and Fleshkind)
- Gavin, King of an unnamed planet
- Xylok's or the Xylok homeworld
- Maybe Clyde, Luke, Rani and Sky making a cameo appearance
- The Mona Lisa, although Suranne played Idris in Dr Who, so may not be possible
I'd also like to see more of the following characters from Doctor Who: - Zocci and Vinvocci (Bannakaffalatta is one of my favourite characters from NuWho)
- Judoon
- Trees of Cheem
and from Classic Who: - The Rani
- Sea Devils
- Ice Warriors
- Zygons

Well Sophie Aldred was supposed to make an appearance in Series 6 had it gone ahead. They obviously thought there was enough call to bring her back so it would be awesome if she showed up in the main show instead.

I'd like to see Clyde and Rani again. I really liked those two characters and I think they could work well in Doctor Who for an episode or two. They are familiar with the Doctor already and there are so many reasons they could show up. Maybe we will get them for the anniversary. There is lots of talk about Torchwood showing up, but the SJA crew seem to get overlooked. I'd like it and it would be a nice nod to the show that ended far too prematurely

I don't imagine they will appear at the anniversary. It would be cool if they did, but Moff has no association with them (and might not be allowed to use them anyway) so I think it will be old Who cast, if any, and at a stretch Barrowman.

Why wouldn't he be allowed to use them? They are property of the BBC, not the writers. At least that is what I thought. And besides, he let RTD use 11, I'm sure RTD would return the favour. It's not like he would actively keep his cast out of work if he had the option of giving them some.
