1913, and war comes to England, a year in advance, as the terrifying Family hunt for the Doctor....How does The Family of Blood stand up as a single episode?

Given this one a 4. By itself I love it... I totally admire Tennant's acting in this especially at the end when they're in the space ship thingy, it fools me every time! Brilliant, brilliant acting! That kid too, the one who has the pocket-watch, (can't remember his name, but he's awesome, he was in Feather Boy- I used to watch it when I was younger) but he's brilliant! The only thing I don't like is Joan Redfern in this, I just find her soooooo irritating, not sure why, but I guess you get used to it!

He is also vain, ego-centric and quite mad

As with Human Nature, I've put my comments for this episode in the combined topic for the whole story - but I gave this a 5. It was a wonderful episode and that rarest of beasts, a second part that lived up to the promise of the first part. Sublime Nu-Who.

5 again from me. I loved the resolution and the heartbreak and the punishment for the family. It all came together really well, I think.

Another four from me. It held up well after the strong opener but when The Doctor came back it started to go downhill. Too many plot holes.

5/5. The stronger of the two episodes though I think.
