I gave this one a four. Really don't mind it as much as others seem to

A four. I never remember how great this story is unless I'm watching it. It may be that John Lumic just reminds me so much of Davros and that Mickey gets some fantastic character development here, but I love this. Plus the contrast between Rose's family and the one in the alternate universe is brilliant.

Today, the Kaled race is ended, consumed in a fire of war. But, from its ashes will rise a new race. The supreme creature. The ultimate conqueror of the universe. The Dalek!

Don't understand the problem people have with the different cybermen. Its a parallel universe, hence they have a different backstory in that universe than in ours. What's the beef? As for the cybermen, I preferred the ones from the Tenth Planet. Since then they have been getting increasingly militaristic, so this was just the next progression.

The Tenth Planet cybermen are my favorite too. Because of their awesome sing-song voices.

I have no idea why I voted this as a four. I must have been feeling generous. It really isn't that good. Maybe my opinion has changed over time.
