The tin one seems a bit pointless if you ask me. But I am well known for being very bitter about everything Tongue

The sooner this comes though the better. I need to watch Rory again. Alone. In a dark room Tongue Shocked Grin

I would have prefered it to come out after christmas so it would include the christmas special. But I'm guessing it will be released as a standalone dvd and then in the series 6 box set.

Yea, that is how it usually works so I figure they will stick to that format. They can cash in on the Christmas Market that way too

The DVD set of Series 5 of Doctor Who is due for release in a few weeks time, and we finally have word about the extras we can expect from the release.

As we reported a few months ago, the set will include two specially filmed mini episodes, each around 3-4 minutes long and featuring the Doctor and Amy. One takes place between episodes 1 and 2, the other  directly after Amy plants a wet one on the Doctor. But that isnt all. Oh no.

Four episodes of The Monster Files are also included, giving fans info and facts on some of the mosters that the Doctor faced throughout the series. As well as that there are nearly 8 minutes of bloopers and outtakes from behind the scenes filming are also included on a featurette, as well as 30 minutes of video diaries from Matt, Karen and Arthur.

As always, the individual episode commentaries are included, and this year there is quite a line up. The people talking us through the episodes include:

Steven Moffat,
Piers Wenger,
Beth Willis,
Mark Gatiss,
Barnaby Edwards,
Nicholas Briggs,
Karen Gillan,
Johnny Campbell,
Toby Whithouse,
Alex Price,
Ashley Way,
Alun Raglan,
James Dehaviland,
Toby Haynes,
and Arthur Darvill

Is that enough for you all?

They're damn expensive over here. So I'll get whichever one I can afford.

So probably the standard bottom-of-the-line dvd one.  Grin

And that is still too expensive if you ask me! If I had the patience to wait until they came down in price I would, but they can pretty much charge what they like because people like me who moan, will still go out and buy it anyway

River, you hit the nail right on the head. I just pre-ordered the Blu-Ray version for £57 and i know if they'd charged £68 I'd have paid (and moaned lol)
