Sort of off topic, but I don't understand why the AI for TEOTW is so low. It should be 80 at least

That was my first thought, too. I thought that was a good episode and far better than this one.

TEOTW is a work of genius compared to this. They really shouldn't have scored the same. More to the point, why did Fear Her rate better than both of them?

I don't particularly rate either, so I think the scores are fair.

I agree.  I'm not really too sure how AIs work (unless they're artificial intelligences Cool) but I'd rate TEOTW somewhere around the middle of the episodes.

PP could probably give you a better answer but I think the way it works is that BARB households (the ones who record their viewing to make overnights and officials) also score what they are watching out of ten. They are pooled together to make an average, say for example 8.7 and that is then multiplied by ten to give a weighted score out of 100.

It's sort of floored in that no show can score below a 10. It's also extremely difficult to get over 90 which Doctor Who has done a couple of times. I remember reading about 2 years ago that the average for UK dramas is mid 70s, so the fact the show has only fallen below 80 twice in nearly 100 episodes is really impressive.
