Season 16 of Doctor Who began airing in September 1978 with The Ribos Operation and ran through to February 1979, ending with The Armageddon Factor. The six stories of the season, although individual, are linked together as a season long arc and given the umbrella title of The Key To Time. Season 16 saw the introduction of the Time Lady Romana as the Doctor's companion, while Douglas Adams took over as Script Editor, beginning with the final story of the season. Which is your favourite?

Bit of an uneven season, this. Some of the stories were great, some were quite poor in comparison. The overall arc though is one I quite like. For me, however, the best story of the bunch is The Stones of Blood.

I went for The Androids of Tara, partly because I love all the Prisoner of Zends parallels. I considered The Pirate Planet and The Stones of Blood, though.

Androids of Tara was my choice. Tough decision, though.

I've only seen The Androids of Tara so that got my vote.

I dislike the majority of this season. The best of a bad bunch though is The Stones of Blood

I went for The Armageddon Factor I love John Woodvine and I really liked the underlying idea behind it. Honourable mentions for Stones of Blood, Androids of Tara and Pirate Planet as well.
This was the first season where cracks started to appear in the Baker tenure. Before this you had relentless consistency. You now start getting stories that are decidedly patchy in places. I loved the idea of Romana though and thought she was a definite "win" from this season.
