OK, there isn't a lot of it, but a couple of things have occurred to me.  My favourite bit of continuity is that the creatures in the swamp are presumably descended from Davros's mutated creatures.

One interesting point is when Ian and Barbara are shown a picture of a Dal/Kaled and seem to find it distasteful.  That doesn't seem to fit with the Kaleds in Genesis - unless, of course, what they were seeing was actually a picture of Davros.

This is a huge focus of one of the Davros audios. He isn't to blame for them though.

Is that the I, Davros series? I seem to remember something to do with swamp creatures in that.

I haven't heard that.  It's a logical bit of continuity to use, though.

I think it would be cool to sort of retroactively make them something to do with Davros. I like continuity between stories like that, especially when it's created afterwards to tie in.

It is, yes. Davros used to go play in the swamps as a child even though it was sort of dangerous because of the creatures. In the end after the war, the creatures in the lake were pretty much the only animal survivors left on Skaro.

And if you haven't listened to the I, Davros series, you must. It is excellent.
