This weeks TIQ story takes us to series 5 of the revived series and the Eleventh Doctor serial The Time Of Angels/Flesh and Stone.
The enigmatic River Song hurtles back into the Doctor's life but she's not the only familiar face returning - the Weeping Angels are back! Following River's calling card, the Doctor is recruited to help track down the last of the Angels, which has escaped from the Byzantium starliner and into the terrifying Maze of the Dead.
Throughout the episodes, hints are given about River's relationship with the Doctor in his personal future. It also showed the purpose the Church will serve in the 51st century. This story also revealed more about the cracks. It is also the first story in the Steven Moffat Era where the Doctor and his enemy are running from the same thing -- the Time Field. The next story will be posted on Sunday May 27th

Ironic, I watched this when I couldn't sleep last night!
Without a doubt this is one of my favourite, if not my favourite episodes of Who. I love the weeping angels, and this story is brilliantly thought out. It was the first story I could cope with River in too... Not much more to say than I love it and it's totally brilliant, very hard to find fault!

There were elements of this story that I thought were absolutely fantastic. The Angels suddenly beginning to move being a particular highlight. Other things too that were worthy of full marks. There were however parts of it that I think didn't work so well that were perhaps more of a 3 on the scale. For that reason I balanced out and gave this a score of 4 out of 5.

Four out of five here. This was a very good story, well thought-out, and the return of River Song was a truly great surprise. However, it was lacking just that little bit to push it over the top as a superb story. The bedroom scene shouldn't have been there, or at least should have been shorter and simpler.

There are some stories that should be amazing and yet, for some reason (probably personal taste) just don't quite cut the mustard with me. This story is one of those! I really like the concept of Military Monks, and Alex Kingston always gives good value as River Song. The plot is well thought through and the lovely continuity faux-pas delightfully pays off in the episode finale.
I gave it 4/5 - it could have been 5/5 but was just a little pedestrian in places. No real criticisms - just didn't quite rank at the top.
Not the most useful review I accept, but I have been ill with a stomach bug so maybe i'm just a bit cranky!

This is one of those stories, like so many, that are amazing on first watch but don't seem quite as great on rewatch. However I do still think it is good enough to get full marks. It isn't perfect but it's not far off.

I actually think I prefer this story on rewatch. I wasn't so keen on it first time round.
There are parts I really like (Amy counting down from ten was very cool in a creepy kind-of way) but the end of the second part really made me hate Amy.

4/5 from me this week. For the most part it's a good story and it's written well but that scene with Amy at the end was all sorts of wrong. For that alone I had to take a point off.

I gave it a five. No, I didn't like that final scene either, but I don't think it was worth taking a full point off for, after everything before it.

4/5 from me. Overall a pretty good story. Weak cliffhanger though and the ending was awful. I was frustrated at the time because it didn't give any answers about River, but I like how all that played out in the end. I think it was weaker than Blink but I did like the evolution of the Angels.
