Here are the ratings for this two part story which aired in the early summer of 2010. Because the show was simulcast from 2010 onward on HD we have seperate ratings for this story. They don't however count the 1m+ who watched each episode on iPlayer.

Official Ratings
The Time Of Angels - BBC1: 8.1m, HD: 461k
Flesh And Stone - BBC1: 8.0m, HD: 476k

Weekly Chart Placing
The Time Of Angels - 11th
Flesh And Stone - 11th

AI
The Time Of Angels - 87
Flesh And Stone - 86

It's such a shame the BBC don't count iPlayer stats or +7 like they do in the US. That would give a truly accurate showing of the ratings. Not that 8m is to be sniffed at, though.

I think they are good ratings. Especially given that they have normally dipped a fair bit by this point. AI's are pretty strong too.

Is that good for HD though? Why are they counted seperately? If it's the same show and technically the same channel then why not just show a big complete rating?

It's probably counted seperately just to see how that channel stands on it's own. Also, I don't think that many shows are simulcast. I think sometimes it shows different shows to what's on the main channel.
