Who else thinks that the constant theme of every companion kissing, or getting kissed by, the Doctor is getting old. I haven't seen many of the classics but I hear it all started with 8. He clearly had some sort of connection with the companion in that movie so that's not bad. And I can deal with 9s reason. Rose's life was in danger. But when Cassandra kissed the 10th Doctor in "New Earth" I grew suspicious. I started thinking the writers attitudes to it were "They always wanna see the companion kiss the Doctor" which is, at best, only half true. Next we had the "genetic transfer" story with Martha. And it started getting completely ridiculous with Donna's kiss. By the Time Matts Doctor hit our screens, I didn't even need to speculate. I *knew* there would be a kiss. And yet again, another ridiculous story. Amy had *just* told the doctor she's engaged and then she tries to make a move on him. I really like Amy's character and wasn't pleased they made her that big of a... Anyyywayyyy. I just think it's too old. Side note: I am in no way biased. I didn't get my crush on 10 till torwards the end of season 2. I mean, *now* I'm biased of course But I had these thoughts before I got my crush on DT.

#Doctor: Amy was frightened. I was frightened. But we survived, you know, and the relief of it... And so she kissed me. #Rory: And you kissed her back. #Doctor: No, I kissed her mouth. #Rory: Funny.

I dont really mind the kissing too much. Most times it has a reason, even if it is a stupid one. The Amy thing was a bit uch for my liking though

The rule seems to be one snog per season. I'm hoping for an Eleven/River version next season!

Totally over all the kissing. I wouldnt mind so much if it didnt seem like they were sticking it in there for the sake of it, but it always comes off like they are just having a kissing scene for the sake of it

I don't like kissing in real life so you can imagine how I feel about it on Doctor Who (which is way more important than real life). Whenever they think about a kissing scene they should instead reflect that a big space battle is what the fans (i.e. me) want. Even a little space battle would do - i'm sure the Mill could knock a quick one up (unlike the Doctor narf narf).

I am fine with the kissing when there is a valid reason for it. But one person's 'valid' is another person's 'stupid'. I felt that the reason 9 kissed Rose was valid. 10 kissing Martha was not and it made my eyes roll - genetic transfer - whatever! Also the whole Amy and 11 thing - didn't like it. And I think that if there is a Doctor/River kiss I won't like that either but I guess it will ultimately depend on the situation.

I really didnt like the kiss with Amy, but other than that I wouldnt say it has been too excessive from what I have seen so far.

The thing that bothered me with the Amy kiss was how out of the blue it was. It just didnt make any sense at all. A lot of fans have theorised that it was down to her being in an emotional state after coming so close to death, but I dont buy that at all.

Yea I dont think many people really liked the Amy kissing scene. It will apparantly be explained in one of the extras on the S5 DVD though

Yea, one of the 'Meanwhile In The TARDIS' mini scenes will take place directly after that scene when they run into the TARDIS and will deal with it a bit more from what Ive read
