There will be no new story added to TIQ next week so this is the second of three new additions to tide you over until we resume normal service A spacecraft set on an apocalyptic collision course with Earth, a host of killer robot angels and an evil severed-headed mastermind - it's just another Christmas for the Doctor...
Voyage of the Damned was the third Christmas episode of BBC Wales Doctor Who. Kylie Minogue starred as one-off companion Astrid Peth. Peth's death at the conclusion of the episode was the first time a companion of the Doctor had died in the revived series. It marked the first appearance of Wilfred Mott, future companion to the Tenth Doctor and grandfather to Donna Noble.
For a few months, Voyage of the Damned was the highest-charting episode in Doctor Who history. The second-most-watched programme of its week, Damned took the crown from part two of The Ark in Space. However, it would be displaced about 7 months later by Journey's End, which was the first episode of Doctor Who ever to win its week of original transmission. The next story will be updated on June 24th

5/5 from me. It gets a lot of stick but it's still my favourite of the Christmas Specials

I absolutely loved this. To me, this was everything that the Xmas specials were supposed to be. Big name guest stars, an OTT plot of almost epic silliness and a happy but tragic ending. What more could we ask from our christmas day treat. This story (in my mind) was a perfect example of everything that RTD brought to Doctor Who and for the reason I gave it 5/5

I've gone with a four. It's the best Christmas Special we have had so far and it's mostly awesome, but some of the stuff I didn't like so much. I thought Max Capricorn was a bit of a weak villain but I did appreciate how comic book he was.

I've gone with a 4 for this story. It was so close to a five but I just couldn't justify giving it full marks because I think there are stories that are better and because Ten did my head in for a lot of it.

I went with 5. I'd forgotten just how much I enjoy this - there are a few silly bits, but not enough to justify taking a point off.

I went for a 4. It was ok and enjoyable enough, but nothing special imo

I've gone with a four. It has an awesome guest cast and a big epic story which was perfect for a one off christmas story. I think it got a bit cheesy at times but it was all in good fun and it's easy enough to overlook.

This isn't the best Doctor Who story out there by a long shot. Some of it is over the top and even for this show a lot of suspension of belief is needed but depite all that I still love it. I think the story is great and moves along at a great pace. The character, although not all likeable are all written and acted really well. The ending with Mr Copper and his credit card was so slushy and over the top but I still love it. I've given it full marks.

I've gone with a 4. I wanted to rate it higher and I think in other polls I have done but on rewatch it just felt as though it had lost a bit of it's sparkle. I still enjoy it and I still think it is amongst the best, if not the best of the specials.

I've gone with a 4 on this. There are a few bits that felt a bit like filler and I wasn't keen on the fact that the Earth had to be in peril again, but for the most part I really enjoy it.
