I think every one of those figures is great. Even for Christmas they are really strong. And it was number 2 for the whole year. Second most watched episode of a show in 2007. That's pretty awesome.

It's a great rating, definitely. I think it did pretty well down here too, which is surprising really because I don't think they aired it until about April or May and by that time I think most of us who were really keen had watched it online.

Yup. Just 0.2m above the third position which was the rugby final. Just to put another spin on things, discounting sporting events it was the 13th highest rated show from 2000-2009. And if we break it down further to just scripted tv shows (discounting X Factor, Big Brother etc) it was the 6th most watched show from 2000-2009. |

Well why would they? It's hard to put a gloomy spin on figures like that. I'm sure they could have found a way if they tried hard enough though.
