Two films were number 1. Close Encounters of the Third Kind and The Goodbye Girl

When I went to see Close Encounters, I made the mistake of going in the afternoon in the school holidays, and the place was full of kids running around yelling.  Till the mothership appeared, when there was sudden, complete silence, apart from the occasional "cooorrrrr"

I was one of those kids! I went to see Close Encounters and was bored senseless until the ship came down (apart from the mash potato mountain).

Do you know, I'm not sure I've ever seen it. There are famous scenes from it that I'm familiar with but I don't think I've ever sat and watched from beginning to end. Might have to rectify that at some point
