Ok, I know it's not a popular part to the story but having all the companions return in that final part is my favourite bit of the whole story. I love canon and continuity and seeing them all bank, although fanwanky, I found just awesome. What are your thoughts on it?

I love it too. I don't like that Martha and Mickey were married though. I liked her thing with that other guy. Tom, was it? But seeing them all again was a nice touch and I think it's nice for Tennant too that they were all willing to come back for his final story. I think Alonso was a bit of a random choice though. I think RTD's crush on Russell Tovey is what brought him back more than anything else.

I love it too. I know it's a total cheesy cash-in but I think it's lovely to see everyone again and know that they are sorted in their lives. I don't understand why it's not popular.

I think it may have been more popular had we not essentially done it all a year earlier with Journey's End. I love it, but I can see why people aren't that keen. I did love the extra mention of it in SJA where Eleven said he had visited all the companions, not just the ones we saw on screen. I think that was a nice touch.

I agree with PP. I love it but I think that people may have been disappointed by the fact it had already been done. Plus it was done in the classics as well with 5, although differently.

I hated it when I first saw it - I felt it dragged on for too long.  It's grown on me, but I still find some of the visits a bit random.  Also, I'm not keen on the idea that he had time to do all that after the regeneration had started.  I know the Third Doctor survived for some time with the radiation poisoning, but his regen didn't begin till he'd collapsed in UNIT HQ.

I love it. It was a nice ending to the story and I like these type of events that bring back past characters, but it's done now so it's not something I want to see again for a while.
