I've been watching a lot of UNIT stories lately, and I thought it would make a good poll to see which is considered the best UNIT story. I've only included stories where UNIT plays a significant part, though out of repect I've included The Web of Fear, the events that led to the founding of UNIT. I don't think I've left anything out.

So many great ones. I considered Inferno, but I went with The Daemons in the end. Quite apart from being a wonderful story, it has the full UNIT cast all getting a chance to do their thing. And, of course, that line from the Brig.

I don't really know the Tom Baker stories, but from the Pertwee era I'd probably go with Inferno. The Daemons is good as well, and I really like Pertwee's performance in The Mind of Evil. I expect the Auton stories will get a few votes, but I find them very much a mixed bag with some good parts and some bad parts (especially bad being some of the effects in the second one).

Good pick. I am familiar with Tom Baker's run, but I chose to go with The Sontaran Strategem/The Poison Sky. It seemed to poke a little fun at UNIT's expense; but at the same time, show them in a meaningful and well done story.

I very nearly went with Turn Left because it was so great but it wasn't really a UNIT story, just one where they have a brief appearance. Instead I went with Inferno.

I've gone with The Invasion but there were quite a few in there I could have happily chosen

I went with the Daemons. It is a wonderful ensemble piece with every major UNIT character getting their own "moment". I loved the idea of UNIT and while I can never see a whole series dedicated to them again, I would love to see a multi-episode UNIT story again.

I think of that bunch, Turn Left is the strongest story, however when it comes to showing off UNIT I think The Daemons does it best and so that is where my vote went.

. I was about to say the same thing. Except the part where Turn Left is the strongest story. It's great but there are others that are far superior

The Invasion. This was a tough list to choose from though. Lots of quality.

I re-watched The Daemons again last night and I am certain in my choice. Such a wonderful story where everyone gets a chance to shine. UNIT was certainly limiting from a writers perspective (essentially you only have 3 stories to play with: Alien Invasion, Mad Scientist or Plague) but I loved pretty much all of the stories on that list. I struggle to find one I don't like! Even though it was on after the original list, Power of Three was enhanced by UNIT

Out of the new series I've seen with them in, my vote had to go to Turn Left
