I didn't understand the point of the boundary if he could just walk right in. He seemed to have the ability to know who was innocent and who the guy he was looking for was so whittling it down shouldn't have been too hard.

Realistically, a wild west town would have been unlikely to have a black preacher.

Why was the Gunslinger dressed like a cowboy? He didn't seem the type to play dressup and didn't seem that bothered about trying to integrate

At one point the makeup holding the raised face tattoo in place comes loose and you can see it rise away from the mouth area.
